Tactile & force sensing in robotics

Tactile sensing gives robots a sense of touch: skins, fingertip sensors, or motor-current sensing that report contact forces the camera cannot see. Vision alone fails in occluded, contact-rich moments, precisely where manipulation succeeds or fails, so recent work fuses touch with vision or uses touch as the primary feedback for dexterous control.
